Meet Format
Consolidating our meet down to one day has resulted in a change in the Order of Events for the meet. Although the format of older kids swimming in the "morning" and younger kids (10&Under) swimming in the "afternoon" remains the same, some events have been renumbered and/or moved to accommodate this new format.
In an effort to make sure the meet runs efficiently, we will run a 10 lane meet instead of the 8 as we have done in the past. Although we do not anticipate any issues related to time under this new format, out of an abundance of caution, athletes will be be limited to 4 individual events. As always, athletes may participate in all relays. |

Dear Polar Bears,
We
are in the process of planning our annual swim team camping trip. This year we will be
camping at New Brighton
State Beach in Capitola (http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=542)
from August 20-22.
The campground is ~80 miles from Walnut Creek and a 1.5 hr drive w/o traffic.
If
we have at least 15 families, the cost will be about $90 for the
weekend. We will determine the final price once families have signed
up. There is more information about the campground in the sign up
binder.
Please sign up in the Camping Trip binder in the
lifeguard office by Friday,
August 6th. Sign-ups are limited to approximately 20 families
(~100 people). The binder is on the lifeguard's desk.
If you
have any questions, don't hesitate to ask Chris or Paige Lloyd. You can email
questions to

This is
such a fun trip and we hope we can accommodate all interested families.

Chris
